Low Profile Hook and Loop Products

Low profile hook and loop is something we get requests for fairly often. The Velcro Companies sell a consumer product known as Industrial Strength hook and loop that uses the standard Loop 100 fastener with a low-profile molded HTH hook. While we don’t offer that exact hook style, we do carry some comparable hook fasteners.

DuraGrip Brand Low Profile Options

We offer a low profile hook option (in Black only) in 1”, 1.5” and 2” widths in our DuraGrip Brand. The Hook #3 is good for strapping applications and is strongest in shear. This provides a strong hold while still being relatively easy to peel apart. As for the loop side, we do not offer a low-profile loop in our DuraGrip Brand.

Low Profile VELCRO® Brand Options

We carry a few viable options in the VELCRO® Brand as well. Our other low profile VELCRO® Brand options include a 1.5” Hook 845 in Black as well as a number of narrower width products with adhesive backing. We have 3/4" and 1” low -profile hook fasteners in both Black and White in styles 711 and 830. Here is a look at a useful chart explaining the difference between VELCRO® Brand low profile hook styles.

The VELCRO® Brand Loop 3610 fastener is a good low profile sew-on VELCRO® Brand option for skin contact applications, and it works well with both the low-profile hooks and the standard Hook 88 fastener. You can also use this loop with DuraGrip Brand hooks. The Loop 3610 is a thin VELCRO® Brand product that also works well as a softer loop option for applications that are in contact with skin or need to provide better comfort.
