Acrylic Adhesive Backed Hook and Loop Fasteners
DuraGrip® and VELCRO® Brand acrylic adhesive backed hook and loop tape, also called peel and stick, or self-adhesive backed hook and loop, is best used on substrates such as wood, metal, plastic and vinyl, among others.
DuraGrip® Brand acrylic adhesive fasteners have an acrylic based adhesive with moderate tack and medium setup (reaches full bond strength in 24 hours) and an operating temperature range of -40 F to 240 F.
The VELCRO® Brand PS0172 adhesive is an acrylic based adhesive that’s formulated for high temperature performance and superior bond strength. It offers environmental resistance (heat, moisture) and adheres well to metals and medium/high energy plastics. It has a moderate tack and requires 24 hours to reach full bond strength. The temperature range for this adhesive backed hook and loop tape is -20 F to 225 F.
We also offer rubber adhesive backed hook and loop tape (0115).
The main differences between the rubber and acrylic based adhesives is that the acrylic adhesive fasteners hold up well to moisture and have a wider operating temperature range. Both adhesives adhere well to the following substrates: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Copper, Tin, Glass, Nylon, Polyester, Polyurethane. The acrylic fasteners do not bond well to LSE plastics.
