Which adhesive is right for me?
We offer two kinds of pressure sensitive adhesives. A rubber based adhesive, and an acrylic based adhesive. For these adhesives, you simply peel off the release liner and stick the adhesive into place.
The rubber adhesive is a high tack adhesive that bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including rough and uneven surfaces. Some examples include plastic, drywall, wood, metal, and glass. This adhesive is a good all-around adhesive, but it doesn't hold up as well to moisture and chemical use. It's operating temperature is good up to 120-190F, depending on the brand.
The acrylic adhesive is a medium tack adhesive that bonds well to smooth surfaces like glass, stainless steel and aluminum. It also bonds well to certain plastics. This adhesive holds up better to moisture and chemicals and has a wider operating temperature range, good up to 225-240F, depending on the brand.
